Outstanding Sports Massage Achiever

                        Linda Duncan Johnson

Linda has been an active member of the Ohio Sports Massage Team since 2005. This year she worked 6 events, two of which she was the event Coordinator.

Stepping up at the last minute she took over the American Triple T, our big three-day event, doing a tremendous job as the event coordinator. The race promoters started a new pre-pay registration, and she handled this with ease and professionalism.

Her interests are varied; she is an avid bike rider, participates in Triathlons and road races. She is an amateur photographer and took pictures at many of our team events, making a DVD for the Sports Massage team.  She is also known to drum and play the flute.

As a massage therapist she works for a Chiropractor in Silverton and continues to develop her skills and knowledge through continuing education.

She is a very caring, well-rounded woman, mother of three and Grandmother of one.

Described by her teammates as "friendly… smiles all the time… awesome event coordinator… very organized… very skilled… and INSPIRING."

The Ohio Sports Massage Team name LINDA DUNCAN JOHNSON as the Outstanding Sports Massage Achiever for 2009.

This year we did not receive nominations for Meritorious, Humanitarian or for Distinguished Service awards.  We encourage you to contact the BOD, the office manager or the Award Chair with future nominations.  Recognition is important for our chapter, the nomination of peers allows members and our community to become aware of our knowledge, compassion for giving, caring for others, and that professionalism is what we stand for as AMTA members.

Congratulations to all award winners, Thank you for continuing to serve our chapter and our communities.
